Trying to find the right luggage for the right price can be pretty full on in today’s market where there are so many brands and styles out there. Just a step into the travel section of a department store and you’re immediately overwhelmed with all the choices. Personally, I prefer shopping online for luggage because you can get all the unbiased specs and details for all different products in one place. In a store, you’d have to walk around reading all the little tags trying to remember all the facts before you read the next tag.
For my recent trip to Japan, I brought along my American Tourister Bon Air Deluxe. Since I was spending three weeks abroad, I needed the largest size you could get – the 75cm.
The price point of American Tourister luggage is fantastic, I find. With many of the hardcase luggage products out there, they are quite expensive – I couldn’t justify spending $900 on a piece of luggage where I could have spent that money on my trip (or even another flight). The Bon Air Deluxe 75cm is only $299 RRP and comes with all the features you need for your travels like TSA approved lock, dual wheel spinner and the expandable flexibility for all that shopping you’re sure to do.
It was extremely easy travelling with the Bon Air. During our trip, we stayed and three different accommodations. All three required us to take the Japan subway system. This meant lots of stairs and tight spaces. We had three
pieces of luggage in total and whilst I didn’t do the heavy lifting (thanks bae), it wasn’t too stressful getting from A to B.
Packing for home was a breeze – everything fit in perfectly and I had so much space left even without using the expandable feature. Unfortunately, I didn’t buy one of those portable luggage weighers which meant I actually could have fit in another 10kg worth of souvenirs – I got some serious FOMO after I weighed my luggage at the airport.
