There are so many different skincare products out there, it can be quite confusing with which ones to choose. Like most people I know, I end up getting a whole bunch of night creams, serums, and masks. Although I can feel a nice difference with the addition of masks to my nightly routine, they do require some level of commitment (i.e. time) and, being the impatient person I am, I rarely end up using them. However, there are two things that are a ritual for me and they don’t cost an arm and a leg.
After cleansing, I apply 3 drops of the Midnight Recovery Concentrate on to the palm of my hand and pat it all over my face. I follow this up with the Calendula Water Cream, using only a pea-sized amount.
What I love about the concentrate is that, although it feels oily, it’s still suitable for all different skin types. I’d only apply it right before bed though as your skin will feel a little heavy afterwards. But when you wake up and cleanse again, you’re skin feels really fresh. I can definitely feel the difference when I don’t use this. And, a winner for me, since you’re only using 2-3 drops a night, it takes forever to get through the bottle so you’re getting your money’s worth.
The Calendula Water Cream I only started using once the weather started to heat up. It’s a lightweight moisturiser and since my skin can get quite dry in some spots in winter, I prefer to use this product in warmer climates. What this is good for is to even out skin tone, boost radiance and calm any redness or irritation. This one can be used day and night but since I like to mix up my routine in the mornings, I leave this one for evenings. Again, you’re only using a very small amount each time so this lasts quite a while – and trust me, any more than a pea-size will make you feel like you just came out of the shower.
