When I was in Japan, one of the things that kept resonating in my head was that, no matter where you went, their cakes and sweets were always so damn light and fluffy. I don’t know how they do it – but it is absolutely amazing and delicious. So, when I heard that Harajuku Gyoza was doing these Giant Souffle Pancakes, I knew I had to give them a go.
I watched how these were made and a lot of care goes into it. The mixture is slow cooked for 12 minutes to get them super fluffy. Once they’re done, they get branded with the cute AF Harajuku Gyoza logo and plated up for service along with a dollop of fresh cream, nutella, some sliced bananas, and mayple syrup for you to drizzle over.
They tasted amazing! Especially with the cream and nutella – absolutely drool-worthy. The pancakes were light and fluffy, as promised and the novelty of them never wore off.
These pancakes will only around until the end of August, so make sure you go visit them before that. See all their locations here. And if you’re not just going for their pancakes, I recommend you try their Three Cheese Gyoza – they were so good!
